Mark Hume
Mark has been a leader in the software engineering field for over 25 years. Even while getting his B.S. in Computer engineering from the University of Kentucky, Mark was working with a local entrepreneur in Lexington creating an innovative dental information system, while developing accounting systems for two different hospitals at the same time. Mark’s natural business sense, creative vision for software engineering, and unending drive were producing unique system concepts, even before he graduated from college.
After college, Mark immediately began working for one of the leading technology companies in their industry, LexisNexis (formally Mead Data Central). During his 9-year career with LexisNexis, Mark quickly became known for his creative problem solving and leadership skills. Mark architected and led teams in the development of many critical, and innovative systems.
Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit and his desire to explore new industries and challenges, lead him to strike out on his own and create his first software engineering company, MARCAT Technologies. Mark hand selected the best and brightest software engineers he had developed relationships with over the years to grow his new company. During this time Mark also provided consulting services to LexisNexis, Reynolds & Reynolds, and Microsoft.
Having quick initial success, Mark discovered a market opportunity of having both software engineers, and creative front-end website developers working on the same team. Since the majority of small to mid-sized competitors outsource one of the two skill sets, projects inevitably experience “scope creep” that often derails projects and leaves the customer holding the bag.
With his new vision in mind, Mark again tapped into his relationships with the most talented web designers and developers, and created IMX Solutions. This new company concept provides project control from beginning to end. Whether finding customized solutions by leveraging the existing IMX web-based products, or creating proprietary software solutions, Mark has positioned IMX to deliver best-in-class results for just about any size company.
Mark’s visionary leadership continues to drive innovation, as IMX Solutions continues to help companies integrate systems, automate processes, and accelerate their ability to achieve their goals.
